Marcela Taboada (Puebla, Mexico) is a freelance photographer who has lived in Oaxaca, Southern Mexico, since 1986. Her work has been published in magazines and newspapers such as Elle Decor, Hasselblad Forum, Green Mountains, GEO Germany, NY Times, among others. She's also been published in fine art books. She has participated in individual and group shows in museums and galleries around Mexico, United States and Europe. She is member of the board of consultants of the Manuel Alvarez Bravo Photographic Center in Oaxaca. Her work is part of the permanent collections of The Hasselblad Center, Throckmorton Fine Art Gallery, The Museum of Contemporary Photography Chicago, among others. In 2005 Marcela was a National Geographic All Roads Photography Program awardees.
